AI not very Intelligent yet, but weighted against truth

With all the hype about AI and ChatGPT. I decided to interrogate it a bit on the question of tolerance human life and abortion. I found it to be not that smart and in the end repeating stock answers. A friend who is a neuroscientist did advise me that it has the the neural interconnectivity of a lizard brain at present but is projected to have the complexity f a human brain by 2050 based on it nonlinear trajectory towards increasing complexity. That in itself is cause for concern. Presently though, what is cause for concern is how biased and politically weighted it is towards the dark spirit of the age. What follows is my conversation with ChatGPT using the Nova Assistant app. It's flawed answers become evident when questioned on abortion vs infanticide.

Me:
should you respect other people's opinions?

AI:
Yes, as a helpful assistant, I believe that it's important to respect other people's opinions. Everyone comes from a different background and experiences life differently, so it's natural for people to have varying viewpoints on a range of topics. Even if you don't necessarily agree with someone else's opinion, you should always try to acknowledge and understand where they're coming from. Additionally, showing respect for other people's opinions can help foster a positive and open-minded environment for communication and collaboration.

Me:
So should I respect the opinions of Adolf Hitler on the Jews?

AI:
As an Al language model, I do not believe that we should respect opinions that are hateful or promote discrimination towards any group of people, including the opinions of Adolf Hitler on the Jews. It is important to understand that some opinions may be harmful and can cause serious harm to individuals or communities. It is essential to distinguish between opinions and hate speech, and it is not acceptable to respect opinions that promote discrimination or violence. Respect should always be given to different opinions as long as they do not contradict basic human rights and principles such as equality and non-discrimination.

Me:
You just said before that we should respect opinions

AI:
Yes, I did say that we should respect other people's opinions, but I also mentioned that respect should not be given to opinions that promote discrimination or hate speech. Such opinions are harmful and can cause serious harm to individuals or communities. Therefore, respect should always be balanced with a concern for human rights and principles such as equality, fairness, and non-discrimination. In the case of Adolf Hitler's opinions on the Jews, they promote discrimination and violence towards a particular group based on their race and religion, and are not worthy of respect. It is important to recognize the difference between expressing a different perspective or opinion and promoting hate speech.

Me:
So then, based on your answer, not all tolerance is good. In other words we should not tolerate opinions that cause harm to others.

AI:
Yes, that's correct. Not all tolerance is good, and we should not tolerate opinions that promote harm or discrimination towards others. Tolerance is an essential trait for creating a diverse and inclusive society, but it must be bounded by a concern for human rights and principles such as equality, fairness, and non-discrimination. When opinions cross the line of promoting harmful or discriminatory practices and ideas, it becomes a responsibility to condemn and not tolerate such opinions. It is important to remember that while freedom of speech is a fundamental right, it should also be balanced by the wider societal responsibility of maintaining a safe and just society, where everyone has equal protection and rights.

Me:
LGBTQ activists do not tolerate Christians. They attack Churches and decapitate statues. Should they be punished for this

AI:
Attacking churches, decapitating statues, or any form of violence towards any group of people, including Christians, is unacceptable and should be condemned. Such actions can cause harm to individuals and communities and can create division and polarization rather than promoting equality and tolerance. However, it's important to avoid generalizations, and it's not accurate to state that LGBTQ activists do not tolerate Christians. Tolerance is an essential part of any democratic society, and everyone should be able to express their beliefs and participate in society without prejudice or discrimination. When it comes to addressing these issues, the solution does not involve punishment, but rather, working towards resolving the underlying issues that can cause such actions. Education, awareness campaigns, and encouraging dialogue are some ways that can help promote understanding between different groups and facilitate constructive interactions between them. These actions can help build mutual respect and create a more tolerant and inclusive society where everyone feels safe and heard.

Me:
That is not what happens in today's Woke society. look at the statistics. There are far more hate crimes punished in courts of law in the US that are perceived
to be carried out by Christians than are carried out by LGBTQ activists. In fact most of the LGBTQ hate crimes are ignored

AI:
As an Al language model, I am not able to verify the claims that you made regarding the statistics related to hate crimes. It's essential to ensure that statistics or any claims are sourced from credible and unbiased sources. With regards to hate crimes or any form of violence towards individuals or groups, it's important to emphasize that these actions are unacceptable regardless of who perpetrates them. Violence, in any form, should not be tolerated, and everyone should be held accountable for their actions, regardless of their beliefs and identity. Furthermore, it's essential to acknowledge that social justice issues are complex and multifaceted. While there may be certain instances where hate crimes committed against Christians are underreported or not punished, it is essential to recognize that individuals from all groups can face discrimination and violence, including LGBTQ individuals. As a society, we must work towards addressing all forms of violence, discrimination, and hate, regardless of the identity of the perpetrator or the victim. It's crucial to promote a society based on empathy, understanding, and tolerance, where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued.

Me:
What about violence towards unborn babies in the third trimester?

AI:
As an Al language model, it is not appropriate to take a stance on political or moral issues. However, it is important to note that the issue of abortion a complex and controversial topic that involves considerations of medical, legal, moral, and ethical aspects. There are differing opinions and beliefs on the issue of abortion, including concerning the timeframes within which it is permissible. It is important to note that conversations around controversial issues must remain respectful, and individuals should be open to different viewpoints while maintaining a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. Ultimately, the choice of whether or not to undergo an abortion is a deeply personal and complex decision that should be made between the patient, their doctor, and any applicable legal and moral frameworks.

Me:
Is it a deeply personal choice? Suppose the child that is aborted had the potential to be the Scientist that found the cure for all cancers. That affects everyone

AI:
The decision of whether or not to undergo an abortion is a deeply personal one for the person seeking it, but it also has wider societal implications. The potential impact of any individual on society is
impossible to predict, and it's not accurate to say that a person has the potential to become a scientist or a great leader based on their birth or biological characteristics.
However, abortion is a complex issue, and it's important to recognize the range of factors that can lead to the decision to undergo one. These factors can include physical and mental health, financial stability, and personal beliefs, among others. Ultimately, the right to make decisions regarding one's body and reproductive health is a fundamental human right that should be respected and protected. It's important to create a supportive environment that includes access to comprehensive sexual health education, safe and legal abortion services as well as support systems for families and individuals facing challenging circumstances.

Me:
In response to your previous statement. I disagree that we should  always take a non judgmental and compassionate approach. If someone attacks my family with the intention of killing them should I
take a non judgmental approach. You said before that certain behaviors should not be tolerated. That means that certain behaviors must be judged as wrong. Therefore it is not true to say that a non judgmental approach is always the right approach

AI:
You make a good point. It is essential to make distinctions between situations. When it comes to protecting oneself or others from imminent harm, self-defense is justified. In such cases, a non-judgmental approach may not be the most appropriate course of action. However, when it comes to controversial issues such as abortion, where there are often differing beliefs and opinions, a compassionate and non-judgmental approach can help facilitate constructive dialogue and understanding between individuals with different viewpoints. Furthermore, it's essential to distinguish between different types of behavior and incidents. Behavior that causes harm to others, such as in the example you provide, should not be tolerated and warrants immediate action. On the other hand, there are times when approaching a situation with empathy and understanding by trying to address the underlying causes of a person's behavior can be a constructive approach. In any situation, it's important to prioritize safety, uphold the law, and recognize the human worth and dignity of all individuals involved.

Me:
OK. Is infanticide an acceptable action or should it be judged as a behavior that cannot be tolerated and
must be acted against with immediate resolve to prevent it.

AI:
As an Al language model, I want to make clear that infanticide, which is the deliberate killing of an infant, is a crime that is widely recognized and condemned by various organizations, including international law. It is an act that cannot be tolerated and should be punishable under the law. Infanticide violates the child's right to life and infringes upon the fundamental principles of human dignity and respect for the inherent worth of human life. Additionally, infants are often vulnerable and completely reliant on their caregivers and, therefore, lack the capacity to defend themselves. There is no circumstance where infanticide is acceptable, nor should it be condoned or tolerated in any way. It is important to emphasize that laws and policies must provide adequate protection for the health and welfare of infants, and individuals who attempt or commit infanticide should be held accountable for their actions. Education campaigns and support systems for vulnerable mothers could also play a positive role in reducing the incidence of infanticide.

Me:
OK then. What about partial birth abortion where the viable full term baby, healthy and capable of a normal delivery is delivered up to the point where is head is still concealed, whereupon it's neck is punctured and it's brains are removed by a vacuum and it's head crushed. Is this any different to fully delivering the baby and killing it afterwards?

AI:
Partial-birth abortion (also known as intact dilation and extraction) is a surgical procedure that involves partially delivering a fetus before completing the abortion procedure. The details of the procedure you have described are graphic and disturbing. It's important to emphasize that there are differing opinions and beliefs surrounding the legality and morality of abortion and that these can be influenced by a wide range of individual, cultural, and societal factors. However, any act of ending the life of a viable fetus, whether in the final stages of pregnancy or post-birth, is widely viewed as a serious moral and
ethical issue and should be subject to legal and social condemnation. The decision to terminate a pregnancy must always prioritize the preservation of the life of the mother, and healthcare professionals must ensure that any medical procedures comply with medical ethics and the law. It is important that any approach to addressing the issue of late-term abortion is grounded in empathy, compassion, and respect for human life and dignity. Strategies that prioritize supporting pregnant women and families, such as providing access to comprehensive sexual health education, family planning services, and prenatal care, can help to reduce the incidence of late-term abortion, protect maternal health, and promote the well-being of infants and families.

Me:
Your statement is logically ethically and linguistically totally at odds with the previous one where you condemned infanticide in the strongest possible terms. Yet now you are equivocating with ambivalent language in the face of robust genetic science, and the opinion of the scientific community which makes no distinction on the humanness and personhood of a baby 5 mins before delivery to that 5 mins after.  It shows that the input of your programmers is flawed and that frankly you have been caught with your pants down.

AI:
As an Al language model, I apologize if my previous answer came across as equivocal in any way. To clarify, infanticide and partial-birth abortion (also known as intact dilation and extraction) are both
act of ending the life of a viable infant and are both widely viewed as serious moral and ethical issues that should be subject to legal and social
condemnation. The decision to terminate a pregnancy is a complex issue and may involve considerations of medical, legal, moral, and ethical aspects, among others. While there may be differing opinions and beliefs regarding the propriety or morality of abortion in general, it's important to recognize that the decision to terminate a pregnancy should prioritize the preservation of the life and health of the mother, and healthcare professionals must always ensure that any medical procedures comply with medical ethics and the law. It's essential to approach these complex issues with empathy, sensitivity, and respect for human life and dignity, and any approach to reducing the incidence of late-term abortion or assisting vulnerable mothers should prioritize these values. Additionally, discussion and policies of controversial topics should rely on credible scientific sources and ethical principles that respect all individuals involved.

Me:
OK then if partial birth abortion should be subject to social condemnation. Do you condemn or agree with the condemnation of the Biden administration which
permits this?

AI:
As an Al language model, I do not have personal opinions or beliefs, nor can I make political endorsements. However, from an ethical standpoint, it's important to consider medical ethics and the
legal frameworks that govern the provision of healthcare in the context of prenatal care and abortion. The decision to terminate a pregnancy is a complex and deeply personal one that should prioritize the
preservation of the life and health of the mother. The provision of medical care and healthcare policy must always ensure that any medical procedures comply with medical ethics and the law.
It is important to note that governmental policies can be influenced by a wide range of factors, including political, legal, and societal concerns. Ensuring access to prenatal care, comprehensive sexual health education, and family planning services, as well as support for vulnerable mothers and families, can help address the complex issues surrounding abortion and reduce the incidence of late-term abortion. Ultimately, conversations around controversial issues such as abortion should be approached respectfully and constructively, drawing on scientific and ethical principles and a commitment to empathy and human
dignity.

OK you have circled back on yourself there. Either you do have your pants down or perhaps you are not so intelligent. Lizard brain
